In the framework of this year’s annual assembly of Kooperativa – Regional Platform for culture, we are organising two public events, round tables on different dynamics in the context of regional independent culture. The programme will take place in the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Skopje.

Round table under the title Perspectives of institutional framework for cultural cooperation in the region, planned for Thursday, Decembre 7th at 5:30pm, will gather Robert Alagjozovski, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Macedonia, Teodor Celakoski, member of the Managing Board of Kooperativa and Predrag Cvetičanin, director of The Center for Empirical Cultural Studies of South-East Europe. Discussion will delve into practices developed in the framework of the network and look in to the possibilities of building sustainability for exchange and cooperation among actors of independent culture in the region.

Another panel discussion, Socio-cultural centers in the Region – experiences and perspectives for regional cooperation, will take place on Friday, 8th of Decembre at 6:00pm, and will gather representatives of cultural networks from the region. On the panel, chaired by Milica Pekić, member of the Managing Board of Kooperativa and founder of Kiosk – Platform for contemporary arts, Jadranka Plut from Slovenian network Asociacija, will present two different models developed in Slovenia, Luka Knežević Strika, from Independent Cultural Scene of Serbia, will talk about the model of cultural center Magacin, Jane Calovski from Macedonian network Jadro will present their case of establishing socio-cultural centre in Skopje in cooperation with local municipality, while Tomislav Medak, member of the managing board of Operation City network will present Pogon – Zagreb Centre for Independent Culture and Youth. The aim of the panel is to encourage exchange of knowledge and practices in developing different models of co-governance in new institutional frameworks.
