Kooperativa held its annual General Assembly 2023 from October 16th to 18th in Peja, Kosovo. During this time, the Assembly engaged in developing a revised model for regional exchange and cooperation and decided on strategic directions regarding activities for the upcoming year. Additionally, Kooperativa welcomed adding two new members to the network, and the Management Board expanded by including two well-known faces.

Regional Cooperation and Exchange

At the beginning of 2023, a working group was established to develop a proposal for a revised model of exchange and collaboration in the region. This model was designed to incorporate a modular and flexible framework capable of adapting to various situations and evolving circumstances, all while remaining rooted in the principles of horizontal and participatory decision-making. The proposal for this model was presented to the Assembly, who worked diligently on its further development and design over three intense days. After completing the sessions, we are pleased to report that the new model has been successfully crafted.

Welcoming New Members

We are thrilled that two new members were welcomed to our network during the Assembly. Fakiri sa Juga, representing Serbia, and Zeta Gallery from Albania have officially joined Kooperativa. Adding their expertise will significantly enhance our regional relationships and broaden our opportunities for collaboration.

Networking Workshop

On the final day of the Assembly, a highly insightful networking workshop was conducted by Domagoj Šavor from the Clubture network. The members of Kooperativa, as well as representatives of local and national networks in Kosovo, had the opportunity to put the developed model into practice, test its effectiveness and viability, and gain valuable insights into how it can be optimised to benefit our membership and local communities.

Artistic Program

In addition to the Assembly’s official agenda, we organised an additional artistic program for our members from our members from Kosovo. This included a captivating VR exhibition by Shtatëmbëdhjetë (17), showcasing recent exhibitions translated to a digitalised format, and a curated selection of films by Dokufest.

In conclusion, we sincerely thank Anibar for their invaluable support in making our activities possible. We also thank the Kinema Jusuf Gervalla for hosting us at their wonderful cinema space.
