The Center for the Empirical Cultural Studies of South-East Europe (CECS) is an independent research institute from Niš, Serbia. The CECS closely collaborates with over 40 researchers in the region of South-East Europe. Still, its core is made up of ten members, seven of which with a doctoral degree (five in the field of sociology, one in management in culture, one in art history). Since it was founded in 2010, the Center for the Empirical Cultural Studies of South-East Europe has realised more than 20 large scale research projects, including two Horizon 2020 projects. Researchers from this institute are currently involved in realising the Horizon 2020 project “European Inventory of Societal Values of Culture as a Basis for Inclusive Cultural Policies in the Globalising World” (No 870691) https://inventculture.eu/ which is carried out in nine European countries.
