Nita Zeqiri is co-founder and executive director of Foundation Shtatëmbëdhjetë (17)  that aims to foster positive change in society through empowering communities by means of cultural activism. Her academic background is in Business Management and Marketing. Nita is an artist – photographer, and she has extensive experience in managing cultural and art projects such as Documenting and Promoting Cultural Heritage in Kosovo. In past years she has also been National Coordinator for Kosovo within the European Cultural Parliament Youth Network. Her background in photography begins from 2003 and her work has been presented in national and international exhibitions including National Geographic Photo of the Day. She uses photography and film as tools for personal and social change, with particular focus on gender issues.
