Elena Novakovits is a cultural worker: dramaturg, curator, and dance/performance researcher based between Athens (GR) and Brussels (BE). She holds a BA in Greek Philology (Major in Linguistics/National and Kapodistrian University of Athens), an MA in Culture Industry (Goldsmiths College) and an MA in Contemporary Theatre, Dance and Dramaturgy (Utrecht University). She collaborates with choreographers within the context of their artistic research and creative practice, and in the production and coordination of cultural projects and festivals. Furthermore, she curates artistic and discursive encounters. She has co-written theoretical texts with Nassia Fourtouni (Kalamata International Dance Festival, Dance in the Age of Forgetfulness, from stage to page etc.) and has reviewed performances for Spring Festival (Utrecht, NL), and the network Aerowaves. She has been selected as a participant in the fourth cycle of Critical Practice Made in YU.
