As part of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2022. and in partnership between Cité internationale des arts and On the Move.

First focus on 28th of March 2022: Mobility – Residences and professional development 

In collaboration with FACE-Fresh Arts Coalition Europe, as part of of the Learning Trajectories project (funded by the ERASMUS+ programme), Cité internationale des arts and On the Move organized and event Mobility – Residences and professional development. 

The event was held in form of a public conversation around the following questions:
~ regarding mentoring and supporting professional development and thinking internationally: what are the existing realities, needs, and formats in Europe?
~ how to address knowledge gaps about methods, approaches, and practices?
~ how to better centre the context of hosting organisations when implementing internationalisation experiences?
~ what are the roles of residency programmes in international professional development ?
~ how to create professional development schemes for those coming from under-represented communities or contexts, where support in general (and mobility opportunities in particular) are scarce?

This event also included a short presentation of the new publications of the Learning Trajectories project that aims to investigate how to best design international professional development programmes for artists and professionals working in the performing arts sector in Europe.
