ISU – Institute of contemporary art is an NGO founded by a few independent artists and art theoreticians in Montenegro, ISU is a nonprofit organization for art-production, research and education.
The Main goals of ISU are developing and inter-mediating in artistic, theoretical, research and educational productions, which reflect and analyze current events and processes in the art through socio-cultural discourse in Montenegro and connect them to the international space. ISU is the founder of the Milčik Award for Young Contemporary Artists, which is part of the international YVAA network.

In cooperation with its partners ISU develops archival projects such as AFŽ archive (with NGO Nova), Archive of Cetinje Biennials (with Petrovic Foundation) and Archive of Student Lives as part of the project They: Live – Student lives revealed through context-based art practices).
