The Pekinpah Association (2007) unites professional designers, theoreticians, musicians, archiects, dancers & choreographers that are active in the field for numerous years. The Pekinpah Association thrives to enable best working conditions for associated artists as well as encouraging theory and theoretical work, interdisciplinarity and introducing products and theory to new audiences.

Three sections are working in the frame of Pekinpah: Silence music groups – lead by Boris Benko, theory of design group – lead by Barbara Predan, PhD & Petra Oven Črne, PhD and Kink Kong – contemporary dance section – lead by Žiga Predan, producing works by three established Slovene choreographers: Mala Kline, Matej Kejžar & Leja Jurišić. Since 2010 Kink Kong has been coordinator of two major projects: Spider & Spider Expand! that were partly financed by the EU, producing 9 international dance & performance festivals in Ljubljana, Athens, Lyon, Berlin, Brussels & Zagreb. Let's go!

Pekinpah deluje na področju uprizoritvenih umetnosti, glasbe in oblikovanja od leta 2007. V okviru Društva Pekinpah delujejo tri sekcije: avtorska glasba in glasba za gledališče (skupina Silence, vodja Boris Benko), teorija oblikovanja ter storitveno in informacijsko oblikovanje (vodji dr. Barbara Predan in dr. V sklopu projekta Spider (2010-2012) in Spider Expand! (2012-2014) delno sofinancirange s strani evropske skupnosti smo producirali devet mednarodnih festivalov sodobnega plesa in performansa (Atene – 2010 in 2014, Ljubljana – 2011 in 2013, Lyon – 2011 in 2014, Zagreb – 2013, Bruselj – 2014 in Berlin – 2014). Pekinpah je ena izmed najhitreje rastočih kulturnih organizacij v Sloveniji, ki se s svojimi projekti uveljavlja tako v slovenskem kot v mednarodnem prostoru.
