SUMMER SCHOOL IN OHRID is supporting the Start-up project

• Kooperativa is happy to be a part of Trans Europe Halles’ Balkans 2022 Start-up program through which 4 upcoming cultural centres in the Balkans will be supported in their journey of becoming established cultural spaces. Mentored this year by colleagues from POGON Jedinstvo – Zagreb Centre for Independent Culture and Youth and Anibar, four participants will also take part in our Summer School.
• The start-up is a program created by Trans Europe Halles, a network of grassroots cultural centres with more than 140 members in 40 different countries.  The program has been ongoing for the last 4 years. It is a program initiated to help young emerging cultural collectives and centres in their journey of starting an independent cultural space. It adopts a methodology where an established cultural space is invited to act as a lighthouse and use its experience to guide new kids on the block as a mentor. In order for participants to benefit more from the program, external experts are also invited to share their knowledge and skills on relevant challenges the upcoming spaces are dealing with.
